Recognized Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Port Police Supt. of Police and Director of Public Safety Fred V. Morrone, who was serving as Executive Vice President of the INTERPORTPOLICE and a long-time innovative leader, and honored him and his 36 other officers who perished in the World Trade Towers on 9/11 by establishing the Morrone Educational Program.

The INTERPORTPOLICE (International Association of Airport and Seaport Police) is codified in the United States' Maritime Transportation Security Act, named as consultative advisory in MTSA Section 109 (a) (1) for maritime security training.

Global Police Cooperative Forums were held in Washington, D.C.

INTERPORTPOLICE is appointed to Consultative Status to the United Nations' International Maritime Organization (IMO).

INTERPORTPOLICE begins new World Port Security forum at the Port of Los Angeles, Secretary Grant is installed as the Director General.

After Los Angeles Airport shooting, the SEE SAY ACT and mass environment security initiative project began to ensure active shooter response and mass communication are effective.

INTERPORTPOLICE signs an agreement with London Police on Project Griffin (called Salvator today) and in-depth cooperation with preventative security for mass environments with UK's national programmes.

The Morrone 9/11 Center for Counterterrorism and Security was established as a separate U.S. 501 (c) (3) to support port security education. In 2025, it was also established in the United Kingdom.

The Buckingham Palace Declaration was signed by Secretary General Grant on behalf of INTERPORTPOLICE. The Declaration is a landmark agreement that commits signatories to take real steps to shut down routes exploited by wildlife traffickers.

Cybersecurity becomes a high priority for the INTERPORTPOLICE and launches an extensive port security cybersecurity training program to coincide with the U.S. Coast Guard's cybersecurity requirements for ports regulated under the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 (MTSA). The cybersecurity program will be made available worldwide.
